The Toll Control Unit (TCU), Model: BB-TCU9925, is a customized, multi-interface integration platform designed for ANPR, RFID, axle counters, lane loops and barrier gates. It features built-in anti-theft automation via a Lane PC shutdown mechanism, alongside autonomous vehicle processing capabilities during ETC software unavailability. Engineered for harsh environments, this microprocessor-based device operates between -40°C and 70°C with 0–100% RH humidity and carries an IP66/IP67 protection rating. It features a 16 MHz clock speed, 4 KB EEPROM, 8 KB SRAM, and 256 KB Flash memory (with 8 KB for the bootloader. Its interfaces include LAN, RS485, and RS232, backed by a integrated Watchdog Timer for system reliability. Electrically, the unit functions at an operating voltage of 5V DC, with a power consumption of 9–36V DC (5.2W), a recommended input voltage of 7–12V DC (6–20V limit), and all digital I/O pins optically isolated up to 2.5 kV supporting 0–5V DC at 20 mA per pin.
